§ 01Agreement to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Rayyan Anwar, the developer of Banked. ("we" or "us"). By downloading, pairing, purchasing, or using Banked. for iPhone and iPad, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Banked. is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's Media Services Terms also apply. Apple's terms control App Store billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.

§ 02Who can use Banked.

Family mode

• The person setting family rules must be at least 18 and be the child's parent or guardian, or have that person's permission.
• The parent chooses managed apps, earning rates, blackout windows, and other family rules.
• The child uses their paired device to earn minutes, view the balance, make requests, and follow the rules set for them.
• A Pro family may add a second authorized parent to the shared family roster.

Solo mode

Solo mode is for a person managing their own device. It uses no parent-child pairing and no family CloudKit record. A solo user chooses their own rules and uses the same balance and earning features on one device. Anyone who is not old enough to enter this agreement where they live must have a parent or guardian accept it for them.

§ 03How Banked. works

The current product works like this:

• Apps, categories, or websites can be marked allowed, limited, or blocked.
• Minutes are earned through steps, flights climbed, camera-counted exercises, completed phone-down blocks, task proof, memory or math games, and approved tasks.
• Actual use of limited apps reduces the available balance as iOS reports it. There is no separate unlock session to start.
• When the balance reaches zero, or a blocking window is open, the selected restrictions apply.
• Only the memory and math games have daily earning caps. Other earning sources do not have a general daily cap.
• In family mode, a parent can approve tasks, respond to requests, and directly add or remove minutes.

We may add, change, or retire features. Stored records from older versions may retain retired fields for compatibility, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

§ 04Family pairing and solo mode

Family pairing

A random pairing token links a parent device and child device through Apple's CloudKit. It is not derived from a name, telephone number, email address, or Apple Account. A QR code can be scanned or the same code can be typed. Pairing codes close after the child device claims them unless a parent deliberately reopens pairing.

A second-parent invite is separate from a child pairing code. It lets another authorized parent join the existing roster without claiming the child's device. Anyone holding a valid token may be able to reach the corresponding family record, so treat every pairing and invite code like a password.

Sync requires compatible Apple services and an internet connection. A device that is offline shows its last received state and may catch up later. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what syncs.

Solo mode

Solo mode does not pair with another device, create a family token, or sync a family record. Its rules and ledger stay on the device.

§ 05Subscriptions and billing

Some or all ongoing features require an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The app offers only plans and billing periods that StoreKit makes available in your storefront at that moment.

• The localized price, billing period, taxes, and any introductory offer are the terms shown by the App Store before purchase.
• Monthly plans are supported; a yearly option appears only where Apple returns an active yearly product.
• A retired Max entitlement remains recognized for an existing purchaser but is not offered as a current plan.
• Payment is charged to the Apple Account used to confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off in the Apple subscription settings before renewal.
• Manage or cancel under Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Apple, not us, decides and processes refunds. Requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If entitlement ends, paid features or restrictions may stop applying. Local settings and ledger data can remain so they are available if access is restored.

§ 06Screen Time permissions

Banked. uses Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks. The device being managed must grant the permissions iOS requires. In family mode, Apple may also require the devices to be in an eligible Family Sharing configuration.

You must have authority to manage any device you restrict. Do not use the app to manage another person's device without the permission required by law and by your relationship with that person.

Revoking authorization, signing out of required Apple services, deleting the app, or erasing the device can stop restrictions immediately. Apple's controls remain available to anyone who has the relevant device passcode or account access.

§ 07Timing and accuracy

Banked. depends on system frameworks that have practical limits:

• Usage can arrive late. iOS reports Device Activity on its own schedule, so a balance or restriction may update after a delay.
• Very short scheduled windows may not run. iOS can ignore Device Activity windows shorter than fifteen minutes.
• Deleting the app removes its restrictions. The optional device-wide setting that prevents app deletion is controlled by Apple.
• Monitoring can fail to start. Permission changes, low storage, operating-system behavior, or service outages can delay or prevent enforcement.
• Health totals are estimates. Banked. uses the step count and flights climbed supplied by Health.
• Camera judgments can be wrong. Pose counting, made-bed proof, touch-grass proof, and AR plane detection depend on lighting, framing, movement, and supported hardware.
• Location can be delayed or imprecise. It is a latest point with an accuracy estimate, not a real-time safety service.

Banked. is a household tool, not a security, emergency, medical, or location-safety service. Do not rely on it as the only safeguard for something important.

§ 08Health, camera and activity

With permission, the app reads today's step count and flights climbed from Health. It requests read access only and does not read mindful minutes, Apple Exercise Time, or any other Health category. Banked. is not a medical device and gives no medical, fitness, or nutritional advice.

The camera has four on-device uses:

• QR pairing: live frames are decoded and discarded; the code may be typed instead.
• Exercise counting: temporary body-joint positions count push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, and high knees. Frames are not recorded.
• Task proof: made-bed and touch-grass photographs are judged locally, then discarded without being saved to the Photo Library or uploaded.
• Phone-down: ARKit world tracking and horizontal-plane detection map a nearby surface temporarily. The map and frames are discarded; only block minutes and whether it was broken survive.

Parents and solo users are responsible for choosing safe activity targets and an appropriate area for camera exercises. Stop immediately if an activity causes pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or a risk of collision or injury.

§ 09Acceptable use

Do not use Banked. to:

• Monitor, locate, or restrict someone without the authority and permission required to do so.
• Punish, coerce, isolate, exploit, or harm a child or any other person.
• Pair with, inspect, alter, or interfere with family data that is not yours.
• Bypass security, disrupt CloudKit or other Apple services, or introduce malicious code.
• Reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Resell, sublicense, or share a subscription outside the App Store rules that apply to it.

§ 10Ownership

Banked., its design, and its code belong to Rayyan Anwar. Subject to these terms and Apple's rules, you receive a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on compatible Apple devices you own or control.

The family or solo rules, task descriptions, and other content you enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process that content through the app and its Apple-hosted sync. Feedback and feature suggestions may be used without compensation.

§ 11Ending your use

You can stop at any time. In family mode, release or unpair the child, permanently delete the child record if you want the CloudKit data erased, allow the released child device to reconnect so it can remove the record it created, and delete the app from the devices. In solo mode, leave solo mode and delete the app. The Privacy Policy explains these deletion effects.

Cancel any subscription separately in the App Store. We may suspend or end access if these terms are materially broken, the app is used to harm someone, Apple requires it, or the service is discontinued. Any refund remains subject to Apple's process.

§ 12Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Banked. is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free enforcement. We do not promise that a restriction, count, proof judgment, notification, sync, or location point will always be correct or timely.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this section may not apply to you.

§ 13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost data or profits, arising from the app. This includes a restriction that did not apply, an inaccurate activity or camera result, an incorrect balance, a missed notification, or unavailable sync.

Our total liability for a claim relating to Banked. is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for it during the twelve months before the claim or $50, except where applicable law does not allow that limit.

Apple is not responsible for the app or claims relating to it and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them.

§ 14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and revision date at the top identify the current text. For a material change, we will provide notice in the app before it takes effect when reasonably possible. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

§ 15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. A dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, unless applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to another forum or governing law.

If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect.
